Associate -

Japanese & Korean CBD, APD (HKG) - Japanese Corporate Group 2

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Act as the primary contact point for customers on daily servicing matters and transaction-related enquiries, ensuring prompt and professional support.
Handle customer transactions and related activities, including deposits, loans, foreign exchange, account maintenance, bank registration updates and other customer service requests.
Perform KYC and compliance-related duties, including customer due diligence (CDD), trigger event reviews, account opening and closing, alert clearance and sanctions-related follow-up, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate closely with Relationship Managers, Operations, Treasury, Compliance, AML and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate transaction processing.
Maintain a high standard of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism when handling customer information and internal data.
Support the onboarding and training of new team members as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, RM Support, Customer Service functions within the banking industry.
Sound knowledge of corporate banking products, transaction processing and customer servicing activities.
Practical experience in KYC/CDD, account opening documentation and regulatory compliance requirements.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
A proactive, responsible and service-oriented team player with strong ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Japanese language capability would be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
