Contract Associate -

Global Trade Finance Department - Structured Trade & Working Capital

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Support Head of Structured Trade & Working Capital Solutions HK on strategic initiatives to achieve sustainable growth for EA region, including trade innovation & digitalization, ESG & sustainable finance, product cross-selling (cash management & flow FX), etc
To prepare for the reporting, and related administrative/middle office work. To assist the FI related transactions.
To assist on the deep dive exercise, client/industry analysis.
To support the preparation of GBR applications (GFIG and CBD2HK)
Manage key relationship with internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
Develop and recommend constructive changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practice based on subject matter expertise and understanding of SMBC and market best practice.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of commercial banking and/or trade finance experience.

- With knowledge of trade services / operations / solutions in conventional trade, receivables finance and Supply Chain Finance (SCF)

- With knowledge in credit & operational risk relating to trade products

- With understanding of the market trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment

- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentation in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
