Operations Department - Clearing and Deposits
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- To supervise the Deposit Team in ensuring all deposit services are delivered in an efficient, accurate and professional manner. Ensure all deposit transactions, including early termination, funding control and confirmation handlings are processed in accordance with industry practice, internal and regulatory requirement.
- To monitor structured deposits are processed in compliance with Deposit Protection Rules. Maintain the register of customers’ negative notice acknowledgement and customers list to ensure no omission.
- To support AMS Team whenever in need and assist to check and authorize account opening, closing and change of information. Control other records updating and monitor dormant account operations are processed in accordance with internal and regulatory rules, procedures, and banking practice.
- Provide coaching and guidance to subordinates and other clerical staffs in better discharging their duties. Appraise their performance and monitor their progress of improvement whenever necessary.
- Support any other administration tasks in the dept., including any system project development, drill test, UAT testing and implementation, etc. as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Matriculated and education at tertiary level preferable.
- Over 8 years hands-on deposit operations related banking experience with at least 2 years at supervisory level. Degree or diploma holder with less experience would be considered.
- Good knowledge in deposit accounts activity compliance checking against anti-money laundering or anti-terrorism.
- Fluent spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin. Knowledge in Japanese would be a preference.
