Contract Officer (12 month) -

Operations Department - Clearing and Deposits 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform cheque deposit/ collection transactions, Autopay and DDA electronic clearing transactions, including FPS credit transfers.  Support operations of other commissions and other miscellaneous fee collections
  • Process HKICL's electronic and paper clearing, including outward clearing cheques, FPS, e-cheque and to support morning controls of inward clearing cheques.  Process inward clearing cheques to ensure fit to honour
  • Prepare Batch cheques issuance from customer instruction via the MIDS system and carry out monitoring of batch cheque delivery methods
  • Back up and follow up overall daily processing in Accounts Admin. & Servicing Team and to support supervisor/ Team Head in conducting automation, UAT and system implementations across teams
  • Support other administration as assigned by supervisor/ Team Head from time to time

Requirements:

  • Foresee late-coming items and proactive monitoring of items before deadline
  • Accurate and timely completion of customer instruction and clearing within tight timeline.  Completion of tasks incidental to the Group, as appropriate
  • Excellent command of day-end outward clearing cheques processing
  • Implement and assist to develop new end-user programming as designed by senior staff.  Well handling and follow-up of clearing transactions, Notices of Charges and A/C Opening & Closing
  • Able to assist implementation of basic regulatory requirements into daily operations
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Diploma holder or higher, minimum 2 years of relevant job experience in Banking; Fresh University graduate without relevant experience is also considered
  • Good PC skills in MS Office. VBA, MS Excel Macro, Alteryx would be an advantage
