Senior Vice President, Distribution -

Loan Capital Markets Dept, Asia Pacific

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

To promote and take charge on distribution business for syndicated loan opportunities to secure financing mandates for LCMA in the region covering HK, China, Taiwan and South Korea as well as to execute the distribution of loan assets both in primary and secondary markets.
To work with LCMA Management to develop business strategy to enhance loan distribution capability leading to improve skim income.
To meet all relevant KPIs assigned and take accountability to implement strategies contributing to the achievement of those KPIs
To provide senior marketing support to all business partners and assume individual ownership on the more complex non-recourse financing such as real estate, data center, logistics, infrastructure and LBO, etc including preparation of internal memo, regular transaction status update and presentation to senior management for internal transaction approval
To liaise with LCMA teams in other regions to expand cross border collaboration
To participate and coordinate with relevant external industry bodies to enhance SMBC's loan distribution and syndicated loan franchise in the market by taking an active role in those external industry bodies
To ensure all compliance requirements by internal and external regulatory bodies are fulfilled; and registration as a RI under regulated activities
To provide day-to-day guidance to junior members of the team and take charge of human capital management works

Requirements:

University graduate in Business/ Accounting/ Banking related disciplines
Over 15 years’ experience in syndicated loan gained from sizable banks or financial institutions
Strong track record and experience in marketing and structuring non-recourse syndicated loans
Ability to negotiate with and influence various parties on conflicting issues and to achieve consensus
Good interpersonal, presentation, marketing and communication skills
Team player with good leadership skills
Good track record and experience of managerial role
Multi-tasking and attentive to details; able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Fluent in spoken & written English, Cantonese & Mandarin
