Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (三井住友銀行) (incorporated in Japan with limited liability) is one of the major international banks and a leading arranger of specialized financial products worldwide.  The Bank's Hong Kong Branch is now seeking high calibre individuals with long-term career objectives to apply for the following position:

 

Vice President -

Corporate Banking Department 1 - Advisory Team 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accumulate and make regional intelligence regarding HK and GBA.
  • Provide regional regulatory information to customers, regarding finance, remittance, settlement, foreign exchange, accounting, GBA, start-ups, sustainability, and others related to HK.
  • Promote business matching between Japan and Non-Japan clients via business visits, preparing business proposals pitches, holding relevant seminars to enhance SMBC's presence in HK.
  • Support RMs and other team members to promote banking products by identifying customer’s needs in collaboration with other branches, relevant departments, SMBC group/affiliate companies and/or other external organizations.
  • Prepare regular internal reporting as required.
  • Collaborate with team members in the department and to strengthen business collaboration with SMBCCN, BEA, Nikko, and Jefferies. 

Requirements:

  • University graduate 
  • Minimum 5 years marketing or advisory experience with corporate customers, preferably gained from financial institutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Business fluent Japanese, good command of English and Chinese.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
