Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee, advise, and execute all licensing activities at both the institutional and individual levels, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating efficient approval processes.
- Be on top of regulatory developments and implement robust tracking mechanisms to ensure effective and efficient management of all relevant regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate closely with compliance advisors to ensure the effective implementation of regulatory requirements while fostering strong engagement with all relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive management information to deliver insightful updates on compliance and regulatory risks as well as the overall landscape. Develop and present impactful reports to management and stakeholders on regulatory and governance matters, compliance status, and recommendations for informed decision-making.
- Proactively escalate critical regulatory and compliance risks, while developing practical solutions accompanied by actionable plans to ensure effective compliance risk management.
- Coordinate various global and regional Compliance initiatives or projects, working closely with Head Office, Regional Office and group companies.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance matters.
- Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization, promoting ethical conduct and accountability.
- Be role model and lead junior compliance team members.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Legal, Finance or Accounting, with 10 years of solid experience in Compliance.
- Good knowledge on local laws and regulations relates to banking practices.
- Experience in dealing with regulators.
- Business acumen coupled with robust analytical skills, enabling the effective resolution of complex issues and the delivery of practical, innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in high-pressure environments, demonstrating resilience and effective prioritization skills.
