Vice President -

Business Control Dept, APD (HKG) - Treasury Operations

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in controlling and supervising the daily operation of various market transactions to achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Provide guidance and advice to subordinates and monitor their work performance to meet the standards of services.
Confirm the accuracy of reports for the Management, local authority and Head Office.
Monitor settlements risk and solve various irregular problems to accomplish the settlement procedure.
Approve transactions in systems and approve payments after confirming details of trades with counter-parties, posting entries, monitoring of completeness and correctness of documentation exchanged with counter-parties or concerning sections.
Support the group head to set up and achieve the departmental business objectives.
Streamline of operations, strengthen the risk control, prepare operational manual and provide training to staff for assisting the group head in various duties as required in order boosting up staff quality of work.
Lead new project/assignment and perform any other duties as assigned by the group head, management.

Requirements:

Preferably a degree holder in Banking Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related disciplines. Post-graduate qualifications would be an advantage.
At least 10 years’ experience in treasury market operations with 5 years in staff supervision and management position.
Sound knowledge of treasury market products and operational processes, including Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, securities settlement operations (e.g. HKD Exchange Fund Bills and Bonds), Debt Capital Markets operations, securities clearing systems, SWIFT, CHATS and CMU systems.
Good understanding of banking operations, market infrastructure, global settlement practices and regulatory requirements, including OTC Derivatives Transaction Repository reporting and other regulatory reporting obligations.
A team player with leadership, coaching, management and interpersonal skills.
Good command of both English and Chinese.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
